Elks Poster Contests

The Elks offer students the chance to express themselves creatively through our program poster contests. In Oregon we have two poster contests open to students in our state. The first is in support of our state major project, the Elks Youth Eye Service (EYES), which promotes proper eye safety. The second is part of our national Drug Awareness Program and promotes education of the dangers of substance abuse. Each of these contests start with students submitting their entries to their local lodge for judging at the lodge level. Winners will then be advanced to the appropriate district committee for additional judging. For the EYES Poster contest district winners will be sent to the Oregon Elks Children’s Eye Clinic where the doctors and staff will select state winners and display the winner and finalists at the clinic. For the Elks Drug Awareness Poster Contest the district winners advance to the state Drug Awareness Chair who will select a winner to send to the national program for consideration. Winners of the Drug Awareness Program Poster Contest may appear on the Elks Kids Zone website or be featured in a future issue of the Elks Drug Awareness Coloring Book.

The theme for the 2023-2024 contest is: "Be Kind to Your Mind - Live Drug Free"
