Camp Meadowood Springs
Camp Meadowood Springs provides an environment for campers 7-14 years old (or entering 1st through 9th grade) with a variety of communication disorders, including articulation disorders, apraxia, receptive/expressive language disorders, auditory processing disorders, and stuttering. We also accept campers with other diagnosis that have communication needs that are secondary to another diagnosis, such as Autism or ADHD.
At Camp Meadowood we take inclusion seriously. We believe in the dignity and intrinsic worth of every human being. We welcome, affirm, and support children (and adults!) of all abilities and disabilities, experiences, races, sexual orientations, gender identities, religion, or citizenship/immigration status. We strive to create a safe environment for all where our campers have a place to practice their communication skills. Graduate students working toward SLP licensure work alongside camp counselors to plan and lead camp activities. This ensures that therapy goals are targeted throughout the camp day and that therapy is integrated into each aspect of camp.
