On Thursday, February 25, 2021 during the regular Lodge meeting of Roseburg Elks Lodge #326, Rebecca Blum, Esteemed Lecturing Knight was presented with the Grand Lodge Fraternal Committee Award Pin commending Blum for her hard work for the Fraternal Committee “Americanism.”  Blum is the Americanism chairperson for Oregon State Elks Association (OSEA) SW District, as well as Roseburg Lodge #326.

Steve Malone, OSEA SW District Vice President presented Blum with the award pin and letter on behalf of Lyncho Ruiz, OSEA Americanism State Committee Chairperson. In his State Committee Report, Ruiz thanked Ms. Blum stating, “Your hard work and dedication is appreciated not only in the SW District but state wide.”  Ms. Blum is the first woman to receive the Grand Lodge Fraternal Committee Award Pin.

This year’s Americanism Contest theme was “How can Patriotism be Demonstrated?” Five of the 7 Districts in the State participated with 39 of the 53 Oregon Lodges taking part.  This is a new record for Lodge participation.
