Hillsboro, OR Elks Lodge #1862 participated in the annual Dictionary Project, a program sponsored by Grand Lodge Youth Activities Committee.
Cathy Swanson, Past Exalted Ruler, coordinated our Lodge involvement, including ordering the dictionaries and arranging their delivery to 17 schools with the help of Lodge members to grade students. Presentations were made in many of the classrooms and the students were so excited to learn about all the information included and to know this was their book to keep.
