Elks National Foundation
You've heard about the 'ENF' - What is it? It is Elks National Foundation, founded in 1928 with a mere $100,000.
Over the years, more than $183.6 million in donations and bequests have been received. We now have over $370 million in our endowment fund and have contributed over $300 million to charitable projects nationwide.
How does it help Oregon? In 2008-2009, Oregon received back from Elks National Foundation, $1.753 for every $1.00 that was contributed from Oregon members.
UPDATE: 2009-2010, OREGON RECEIVED 1.95 BACK FOR EACH DOLLAR.
UPDATE: 2013-2014, OREGON RECEIVED 3.00 BACK FOR EACH DOLLAR.
Keep up the GREAT work everyone! THANK YOU !!!!!
This comes in the forms of contributions over the years to:
-
The Drug Awareness Programs
-
Hoop Shoot, Scholarships
-
Veterans programs
-
A $10,000 Impact grant to Coos Bay Lodge # 1160
-
A $40,000 Community Investment Grant to Medford Lodge #1168, helping police departments buy drug dogs
- ...and many more projects.
The important thing to remember is that your gift is a gift that keeps on giving. Why? Because the principle is never touched. Only the interest is used for these programs.
If you need help with any of the Elks National Foundation programs or have questions, please feel free to contact me and I will help walk you thru it.
Fraternally.
